Free payment voucher maker
Every rupee that leaves the office should have a paper behind it. Write a payment voucher in a minute: who was paid, for what, under which account head, how it was paid and who approved it. No login, nothing sent to anyone.
How to make a payment voucher here
- Type your business details once. Name, address and phone. Saved businesses appear as you type, and the next voucher number for that business is suggested.
- Write who was paid. The name of the person or firm, with phone and address if you have them. Earlier payees come back as suggestions; nothing fills in by itself.
- Add what the money was for. One line per purpose: particulars, account head (Travel and conveyance, Repairs and maintenance, Freight and cartage and so on) and the amount. The total and the amount in words are worked out.
- Say how it was paid. Cash, UPI, cheque, bank transfer, card, demand draft or other, with the cheque or reference number and date. Add a narration in Notes if the reason needs more words.
- Fill in Prepared by and Approved by. The person who wrote the voucher and the person who allowed the payment. The receiver signs in the third box when they take the money.
- Save, then Print / PDF or Share. A5 is the default size; switch to A4 if you file on A4. Share sends the PDF through WhatsApp or email from a phone and downloads it on a computer.
What it does for you
- Account heads ready: office expenses, travel, freight, repairs, stationery, courier, staff welfare, electricity, rent, salary, advance to staff and more come up as you type, and you can write your own.
- Amount in words printed under the total in Indian style (lakh, thousand), so nobody can change the figure easily.
- Three signature boxes: Prepared by, Approved by and the receiver, with a revenue stamp box when more than ₹5,000 is paid in cash.
- One number series, PV/26-27/001 onwards for each business, restarting every financial year, with a warning when a number is used twice.
- Saved payees: the person or firm you paid is kept as a supplier, so the name is a suggestion next time on any Nivesh Sahayak tool.
- In your language: 24 languages on screen; the printed voucher stays in English so your accountant and auditor can read it.
Your data stays with you
Everything you type is kept in this browser on this device. There is no account and nothing is uploaded to us. Your businesses, customers, suppliers and items are shared with the other Nivesh Sahayak document tools through my.niveshsahayak.in, so details you saved while making an invoice or a quotation are already here as suggestions.

Questions people ask
Is this payment voucher maker free?
Yes. Making, saving, printing and sharing payment vouchers is free, with no login and no limit. A small line at the bottom of the page says where it was made.
What is the difference between a payment voucher and a receipt?
A payment voucher is written by the business that pays, for its own books. A receipt is given by the person who receives the money. When the receiver signs your voucher, it works as their acknowledgement too. To give a receipt for money you received, use the receipt maker.
Does a payment voucher need a revenue stamp?
When the receiver signs the voucher as proof of receiving more than ₹5,000, the Indian Stamp Act asks for a ₹1 revenue stamp, signed across. The maker shows a stamp box when the mode is Cash and the total is over ₹5,000. Payments by cheque or bank transfer usually do not need one.
Can I pay more than ₹10,000 in cash?
You can, but if a business pays more than ₹10,000 in cash to one person in one day for an expense, the expense is not allowed when working out taxable profit (₹35,000 for transporters). See cash payment limits.
What should I write as the account head?
The type of expense: Travel and conveyance, Repairs and maintenance, Printing and stationery and so on. Suggestions appear as you type. Use the same head names every month so your accountant can add them up.
Does the voucher have GST fields?
No. It is an accounting payment voucher. If the payee gave you a GST bill, write its number in the narration and attach the bill. For payments under reverse charge, GST law asks for a separate payment voucher with GST details; ask your accountant.
Can I print it on half a page?
Yes. A5 (half of A4) is the default size. You can switch to A4 under the design options before you print.
Where are my vouchers saved?
In this browser on this device, under Saved payment vouchers. Nothing is sent to us. Use My data › Save a backup file to keep a copy or move them to another device.
